Not a lot to celebrate during the historical Covid19 lockdown in Belgium, except for first division football club Cercle Bruges. The unique club celebrated a unique 121 years of existence. Normally this happens with balloons, a large gathering of fans, players and management… but this year everyone was locked in their own stadium at home. So we brought out the A-team in ourselves and came up with a plan. No less than 121 pieces of a giant birthday cake were packed in a special birthday lockdown box and delivered to at front door of fans, players and staff. Next, we invited everyone to an online birthday party at which all 121 birthday candles were blown at the same time and wishes were exchanged. It was one hell of a happy digital birthday.
