Nobody likes a world without color, except if you’re a fan of 50 shades of grey. Anyhow, in 2020, a new wave of racism ravaged several countries in the world. So too in football. In addition, Belgian first division football club Cercle Bruges joined forces with Italian sports brand Kappa to kick-off the new season with a clear message. In a 60” online video the club and shirt sponsor capitalise on the annual buzz around the look, feel, and colours of the new Home, Away, and Thirds kits to take a stand against racism in football: “The only colours that matter in football are the ones in which we play the game”. Nuff said.
